Decline in the number of foreign tourists in Thailand more than 12% after political turmoil

Rates fell tourism in Thailand during the second quarter increased by 12.3%, the equivalent of 5.3 million tourists compared to the same period last year in light of the political unrest that prevailed in the country.

 The official data of thailand revealed that the number of tourists in the second quarter also declined compared to the first quarter of this year reached 6.6 million tourists, just as decreased tourism revenues in the second quarter by 8.4% on an annual basis.
 
It is noteworthy that Thailand is still under the control of army commander Gen Prayoot Chan, who ousted the government of Prime Minister Shinawatra Angelok in May / May last to restore order and implementation of political reforms after years of turmoil between the political parties.
